Fox Run’s Agassi by Ace – ARI Pending

We bred our best show girl “Carmel Sundae” to Aspen Ace, a fabulous true black Aurora's Borealis son. Our hope was to get a nice male to use with our colored Nomar daughters. Boy, did we hit the jackpot! Agassi is everything we’d hoped for. WOW! What a great little male!

Agassi is absolutely FULL of attitude and confident “macho” style. He’s an elegant yet very masculine male with a tremendous head and wonderful brown, tightly locked and supremely lustrous fleece with a wonderfully “slick” feel. All this and a richly colored pedigree too! We expect him to be a fabulous asset to our colored suri program. We’ve rarely been happier to have one of our girls produce a male. We couldn’t be more pleased!!

Fox Run’s Drusilla by Nomar ARI Pending

Drusilla is yet another outstanding, full Peruvian colored offspring by our award winning herdsire Fox Run’s Peruvian Nomar. The mark of an outstanding herdsire is his ability to consistently make outstanding offspring. Nomar is just such a herdsire. He has produced 100% offspring of color, and consistently passes on coverage, density, fineness, lock and luster to his babies regardless of the quality or color of the dam.

Drusilla is a gorgeous true black female who will be making her show ring debut in the spring of 2010. She is an elegant, stretchy female with very fine, beautifully defined and lustrous fleece. She has that wonderful cool “slickness” that is so rare in very dark animals, and she compliments that slick feel with stunning luster and tiny independent lock. She has wonderful coverage and perfect conformation and balance. She is an inquisitive, high energy female with the presence, confidence and sweet temperament of her sire.

Drusilla’s dam “Laguna by Brigadier” is another of our best producers; a Futurity Blue Ribbon winner, Laguna’s pedigree is comprised of deeply colored, award winning animals. Her sire Brigadier is an awesome, true black male with blue ribbons at two AOBA National Shows and a Color Championship at MAPACA to his credit. Laguna displays perfect conformation, bone and coverage with wonderful defined locking. She is also one of those spectacular moms who makes wonderful milk, and passes high IgG on to her crias. She has a laid back temperament and is willing to feed anybody in the paddock who happens to be hungry. These are tremendous mothering characteristics that she should pass on to her beautiful daughter Drusilla.

She has that amazing “soft rolling skin” that we as breeders love to see. Even at her young age, we believe she will be a stand-out female. Safina will be making her show ring debut in the spring of 2010. We can’t wait!

Safina’s dam “Fox Run’s Peruvian Shira” is a first time mom who we expect will be one of our best producers. Peruvian Mindy May #1271 - ARI # 183446

Mindy is the first alpaca we ever purchased, and we've been delighted with her from day one! Mindy May is a full Peruvian female who cherishes her role as Fox Run herd matriarch. She oversees all alpaca related activities at Fox Run with a firm, calm and steady demeanor. She is the first to greet us with a gentle "hummmm" upon our entry to the barn, and is also the first to sound the alarm should an unwelcome four legged visitor have the bad judgment to pass across her line of sight.

Mindy is a superior mother who gets pregnant easily, births easily, produces volumes of milk high in IgG, and provides attentive supervision and care to her cria. Mindy has wonderful overall fiber coverage, (including leg and head fleece) which still exhibits independent lock and lovely luster even after years of annual shearing. Mindy is beige, but when bred to colored herdsires often produces deep rich color.

This fact was brought home in amazing clarity in 08 when she delivered her first Nomar cria, a stunning red/brown male named Fox Run’s Cantu by Nomar. There was no question who we would breed Mindy to from now on…. She’s been re-bred to Nomar in hopes of repeating the fantastic quality and color in July of 09.

Mindy May is not currently for sale.
